Sophia’s 11th Birthday Party – Hollywood Movie Theme! – At Home With Natalie

It was so fun putting together this Hollywood Movie themed party for our Sophia!
She was turning the big 11 and we chatted a bunch of themes….but she fell in love with the idea of this one!
I can’t believe my oldest is 11 but she’s a pretty amazing one!

We had a Treat table decked out with her name in lights and all the sweet treats you would want when going to the movies. The kids walked the red carpet and had a step and repeat VIP Backdrop to pose in front of! Keep on scrolling to see photos of the dessert table and details on how we pulled this together!
Here’s a video of the party fun!

THE DESSERT TABLE
To make it easy on me every single treat was store bought! I had some movie night themed cupcake toppers, two 1 candles and Popcorn Containers from Amazon, Gold Containers from Target, gold baking cups and gold straws from Hobby Lobby. When putting together dessert tables I like to choose a color scheme and stick with it to really make it all come together easily. We had Cupcakes and a Cake from Walmart Bakery. Rice Krispie Treats that the kids unwrapped and put the straws into. The containers held different candies: Gummy Bears + Airhead Xtremes… Reese’s Pieces…and Reese’s Cups.(for the gold wrappers!) I put some twizzlers in some mason jars and stacked up some double stuffed Oreos and the treats were ready to go!

For the decor I got a gold sparkly 60X102 inch table cloth off Amazon. This really made it! And I love the idea of having this in my stash of tablecloths for parties now.
I used a bunch of our white cake stands. (I have a whole collection I style and display on our Dining Room Shelves.)
To make the SOPHIA in lights I just got 2 white foam boards and some cardboard letters on sale at Hobby Lobby, painted the letters red, poked some holes in them and put some string lights in it (target ones!)
I had taken off the backs of the letters so I could tape the light cords in the back of the letters.
I attached the letters with scotch shipping tape to the foam boards.
To hang it we put a couple nails in the top corners of each board. I used an extension cord to run the lights to the plug under the table.
I put an Amazon box under the tablecloth where the cake stand for her cake was going to go…that gave it some height!
I got a couple Gold Doorway Streamers and taped them up behind the table. I used stars from Party City and a variety of Balloons from Hobby Lobby.
To make the balloon garland I just blow up all the balloons…and then poke a little hole in the end of the tied part and string them up on white string or ribbon! I use command hooks on the wall to hang it up!

VIP WALL
I grabbed a huge roll of the red plastic tablecloths at Party City and we taped that to the floor for our red carpet.
The VIP backdrop was from Amazon and we hung it up with Black Duck Tape. The kids LOVED IT!
(They don’t have the same one listed on Amazon right now but here’s a similar option: VIP Backdrop
I also got a Movie Film Clap Board ($10!) and themed photo booth props(under $5!!) from Amazon.
They spent most of the party either at the dessert table or in this room putting on a talent show, dancing around to music and just giggling!
Sophia’s teacher from last year came to the arty and she, a long with her cute baby, were pretty much celebrities! 😉

I had a little snack area set up- Not shown was the bowl of fruit. We usually always have fruit salad at our parties (grapes and strawberries!)
Sophia picked out some of her fave sweet and salty snacks to enjoy with her friends.

We had extra Rice Krispies and those always go fast so we put some up on the snack table as well as the dessert table.

I created a little POPCORN fun on the wall using red and White poster board
and white and yellow tissue paper! Super easy- lots of inspiration for this on Pinterest.

We hung up some more gold streamers in the foyer from Amazon… a long with some gold ceiling decorations from Party City.
The Cinema sign on the snack table was from Hobby Lobby.

It was such a fun day celebrating our Sophia!!
11 is pretty awesome… if you are in the little kids stage….. trust me you are going to love 11!
Sophia is suddenly this smart, beautiful, chatty and fun Target loving girl!
